Experiential Learning Programs
Our Experiential Learning (EXL) Programs are designed to provide immersive experiences for students and visitors to learn about social justice, climate change, and art history. They can take the form of exhibitions, fairs, and interactive events. In the past, we have worked with the Natural History Museum in Kathmandu to design activities that encourage students to engage and learn about the various exhibits in the museum
What we do
Our EXL programs are designed to provide immerisve learning experiences for students and visitors to engage with independently and in small groups. They offer the experience of a curated exhibition and learning space to students and visitors wherever the U.S. Embassy's Book Bus visits.
EXL @ NHM
We collaborated with the Natural History Museum (NHM) of Nepal to create an immersive learning experience for students and visitors of the museum. The Book Bus hopes to build a long-term partnership to create a variety of educational experiences at the museum over the next few years. This partnership will also help to increase the museum’s outreach to schools and communities beyond its network of partner schools.
X-Labs
X-Labs is our incubation unit for developing interactive exhibitions that we can take on the road. Every few years, we work with creatives including art educators, designers, artists, and curators to develop exhibitions around the broad themes of social justice, climate change, and art history. These exhibitions travel with the U.S. Embassy's Book Bus and are set up in the different locations we visit. You can check the application procedure HERE. The next callouts will be in mid-2023.
