From a simple diary to an exquisite khukuri and from tales told by your grandparents to crises you’ve faced, join us on a journey of self-reflection on how the pieces of your past come together to form the puzzle that is you.

The U.S. Embassy’s Book Bus invites you to the launch of the Reminiscences: Histories from home, an online exhibition, featuring stories from 40 storytellers across Nepal and Pakistan. The exhibition will run for a month and will feature various online programs and giveaways. Throughout this month, we invite audiences to think about who they are, how they think, and why they do certain things with a fresh perspective by reading these stories and engaging with our programs.

About Histories from home workshop:

Histories from home was a series of a three week long virtual writing program organized by the U.S. Embassy’s Book Bus which engaged the participants in conversations on storytelling, history, and belongingness. During the workshop, participants used different tools to enhance their writing skills, learn how to write stories, build their personal history timelines, engage in discussions, and reflect upon the narratives that they collected.
