A collection of some of the best short stories by young Nepali writers in English including the winning entries for the Writing Nepal 2015: A Short Story Contest, the New fiction from Nepal issue of La.Lit features  stories that span the rural, the urban and the foreign sweep of the Nepali experience. These 19 works find themselves in the strata of what is, what is not, and what could be. Political and personal disillusion pervade these strata of expression, be it rooted in realities, or in dreams and hallucinations.
